Job hopping can be good in any area as long as the moves are well thought out and explainable.
Roles with less upward mobility—roles requiring less education (non-college jobs).
Doesn’t matter if it’s time to go!
It is pretty common in contracting companies, sales and marketing. Much less so in highly technical fields like engineering, or fields with their own practices like medical and legal.
Purchasing you hop often for compliance reasons. In sales roles less!
Jobs that are more projects based because the have a start and end such as project managers and software engineers usually are good for job hoppers. Jobs that require continuity and consistency such as nurses and human resources make turnover challenging to deal with.
Executives are rewarded for job hopping. Low-level employees are not.
I guess it is okay almost in all departments these days.
I wouldn't job hop in any position or dept
Entry level positions are ok to job hop. Managers need time to build relationships with the company and the employees. You cant deliver good faith if you are in and out.
