What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining ADP?

I’d wish I knew that it’s a dev driven company. Regardless of research and experience, the “what” gets built is decided upon by a select few -none of which is in Product Management. The company philosophy is to build, release and see what works. Resulting in expensive releases, slow market response and ineffective product managers. ADP doesn’t value market research, identified market problems or market feedback. Stay away if you are a Product managemebt professional. Product Management is a turnstile of SVPs, VPs and Directors for a reason, they don’t allow you to do your job.

That it would take at least two years before you became productive as an employee.

How poorly it was doing in the market.
