This depends. Considering how vast the organization is and the fact that it's core business is finance and not technology there is no set vibe. In places like New York and Charlotte, tech teams have enough of a quorum in the office to be able to bounce ideas off teammates in brainstorming sessions, organize team events etc. and generate more of an engaging, if conventional, office environment. Places that are not core locations for the bank still make an attempt to synthesize this atmosphere by pulling together people who are working remotely from the bulk of their team. The Chicago office in that regard has improved a lot in trying to make people in different teams feel engaged as opposed to 'being alone in a crowd' since on a day to day basis they are normally working with remote resouces rather than collaborating locally. But this differs site to site (for non-primary sites) and in this day and age of BYO.. it's BYOV.
It used to be fantastic, great people & cooperation. With the constant layoffs & reorgs the last 5 years, that is fading
We have fun. It is a relaxed office but we get much work done.
Micromanaging. Down to them timing you when you use the restroom.
Comfortable but professional
