Promotions are given to a person who knows how to talk to seniors and brown nosing. It’s not given to the person with experience background. The store is desperate to fill the position, they will promote anyone who doesn’t know what they are doing. Teach them later or learn as you go. I noticed assistances of the department is not needed. Department managers don’t want to do the chore it will pass it to the assistants. Assistants will pass the work to their associates. Store makes poor choices, over paid assistants. Operation assistants not moneys worth.

Most promotions are anniversaried (meaning the same promos are repeated year to year). If a promotion is not doing well online there is a mad scramble by teams to respond.
