I work seven days a week for 10 to 14 hrs a day! No joke! Just to try to keep my job. Employee pool is not good at all. So it falls on my shoulders and to keep a check coming in it’s what I have to do.
Dollar General has an unwritten rule for their employees to be on call. You can be called in at any time and on any day even if it was previously requested off.
They don't care about you, but you will have plenty of time for yourself as they do not give anyone over 15 hrs as week unless you are the store Manager
terrible. The people they hire are unreliable and it falls to the few of us who are to pick up the slack when someone decides they don't want to come to work
Over worked and under payed. I have no life outside of work. I spend so much of my week working that I have no time for activities I am passionate about.
Are you allowed personal time as management, no. You are required to be in your store at pretty much all times.
Its all work theres very little down time and no real time given to actually do work that needs done.
Most people work but there are a lot of people that slack on the job.
There's no such thing as balance working for Dollar General
Balances very well.
