Leading...actual leading, as opposed to pretending to "manage"

My team is terrific, our manager does everything he can to undermine the teams effectiveness.
Our departmental manager is incredibly toxic. He plays favorites - to the extreme - and stops work from being accomplished for personal-political reasons.
Toxic leadership needs to go - promotions need to be based on actual contribution and not whether or not you're friends with/sleeping with your boss's boss.
