Lots of employees move around within HealthStream, actually! It's a company that really retains employees because of it's strong culture. The process usually happens organically by simply knowing a leader of another team, or by applying internally.
HealthStream has a really terrible internal promotion/transfer policy. It's well known that if you make a $50k salary in your current position but are promoted to an $85k salary position then HealthStream will only pay you $60k... even though they would pay $85k salary to someone from the streets.... they take advantage of good employees that are qualified to be promoted/transferred. Then when the person realizes they are being vastly underpaid, they find a new job and quit. This happens over and over again. The executive team can't seem to grasp why this is a terrible policy and refuse to fix it.
I've submitted for three roles that I've held at a previous companies in my career. They are all the same title, but I was given three completely different and contradictory reasons I was not considered for the role. For some reason previous experience only matters when you're initially hired, after that it's only your HealthStream experience matters.
It depends on the department but they're very particular about everybody following a specific timeline and it's difficult to even bring up a conversation about how to even get there professionally before that time is up.
yes, you can apply for open opportunities before they are advertised for outside recruitment. Your supervisor must approve of the move.
One must apply for a position on the HealthStream.com website and apply as any other applicant would.
It is possible but it depends on the needs of the team.
It is, but I don't know how difficult it is.
Yes. You must present a good case for it.
