Maternity is 3 months paid leave, but you can string it together with vacation, sick time, and other government benefits to get almost a year off paid (at least in California, less for other states). Paternity used to be 2 weeks for Dads, now it is the same as paid Maternity leave (3 months) but you usually cannot get any government additions.
