Jewel Osco is not very innovative. It suffers from trying to increase profits while trying to operate on as small a budget as possible which only drives away their customers. They are trying to play catch up and it's not going to work. Whole Foods, Fresh Tyme, Pete's, all keep up with customers. They all offer 2 hour delivery at all locations, they work with delivery services such as instacart, Postmates, and Door Dash. Even Walmart is striving to meet their consumers with not only grocery pick up but making that service available to people who use EBT is genius. Jewel's app, my mixx, rarely works. The POS is slow and breaks often. The delivery service is slow and is only available for a few locations. They run out of slots quickly leaving customer angry and taking their business elsewhere. Jewel Osco is moving too slow and soon will be out of business because of its refusal to invest in innovations.
