
Many of my coworkers are wonderful.
Low pay for engineers. Lack of diversity. More focus on keeping wages and labor costs low than hiring top notch personnel. Reverse all these things and there will be some improvement.
Advancement opportunities are kept secret. Told to certain employees while others are overlooked. Advancement opportunities not based on work achievement, production, metrics, etc. Based on how close the person is with management etc. How favored they are.
Need more face to face time with employees. Send out anonymous reviews so employees can review their managers etc. Some managers are exploiting the fact they are the only pipeline to give information about employees, work environment and targeting certain employees, allowing hostile environments.
