Lockheed is an enormous corporation with offices all around the world. I personally do not like the idea of "outings" and am happy to report they generally do not have any outings at the location I work at.

It is like family for some groups, some groups are like high school kids. It is depends on the people. Lockheed do allow and try providing professional gathering.

Your manager will try to get the team together about once per year for an outing but no one will want to go.
