Overall I am enjoying my employment with PKL and I hope to be an APG Instructor or Quality Rep with PKL in Qatar in 2025. I do feel that the Leadership Team should be more engaged in daily operations, and I think that the interview process should be more stringent.
VIP INSURANCE THAT PKL CURRENTLY PROVIDES IN SAUDI ARABIA IS A MUST TO RECIEVE QUALITY AND TIMELY CARE.
The broad cultural mixture of people and backgrounds integrating together to accomplish a common mission is an excellent experience.
Working directly with the newest version of the F-15 aircraft. and the opportunity to share my F-15 specific and general aerospace knowledge with new military recruits / maintenance trainees.
Free housing and utilities for myself and my family. Company provided vehicle including all maintenance. Secure living while in Saudi Arabia. Annual paid trip to home of record. Free medical without premium.
Nearly all team members (Saudi and Western) on my contract are prior military and hold a higher set of standards than those that I have worked with in the civilian aerospace sector.
Because team mates are prior military, the majority of people are quite professional and have good integrity. I do think that the interview process should be more stringent to ensure the highest technical capabilities and experience.
I have worked on and around the F-15 Eagle since 1991. I have a ton of knowledge and I really enjoy passing that knowledge and experience to younger military recruits to hopefully mold them to be the best they can be.
The leadership is very professional, but i feel that the Instructor Supervisors lack specific knowledge pertaining to Aircraft Ground Operations which does increase risk in certain areas of the contract. Some supervisors should have been selected based on specific aircraft SME capabilities.
Nearly all team members (Saudi and Western) on my contract are prior military and hold a higher set of standards than those that I have worked with in the civilian aerospace sector, and they tend to respect and support each other better.
PKL Leadership is very approachable, quite personable, and easy to talk to and negotiate with, when they are around, but most days they are not very much engaged in daily operations. I feel that there should be more pressure from the Leadership to ensure the team remains accountable, and focused.
