
My team all know and care about each other. When bad things happen, we rally. When good things happen we celebrate together. I cannot appreciate my team more!
Have a look at our multiple ERGs, we're encouraged to take time out of our day to participate in learning about everyone as people, not just a name in a Slack channel or JIRA ticket. Our differences are celebrated, we are celebrated.
They really seem to care for us as people. I feel that our leadership has the interest in the whole boat, as it were, in mind, and steers it in a way that would be best for everyone involved, from top to bottom.
The people were super friendly, encouraging, and just people. It wasn't a scary process of sitting in front of a panel with a bright white light shining on you while shadowy figures bombard you with questions. It was just people asking if you want to join the team, what do you bring, etc!
I like being praised, of course! I work hard, and I like for that work to be acknowledged, which my management teams do. I also love seeing things done, and projects I am a part of grow and reach the outside world. Also, learning new tools and skills is always a time to celebrate!
