
This process isn't very transparent. In the past, we've worked with Telefonica to have a 360 review preceding the promotion of the employee in question, but with the changes in the parent company those conversations don't get picked up after they've started. There also seems to be an arbitrary limit on the number of people in a department who can receive a promotion at a time. If there are two very well-qualified employees, one will be chosen over the other without much clarity. I've seen employees leave TokBox for this reason, which is pretty disappointing.
