BlueRock Therapeutics LP is a clinical stage cell therapy harnessing the power of cell therapy to create a pipeline of new medicines for people suffering from neurological and ophthalmic diseases. Two of our novel investigational cell therapies, bemdaneprocel (BRT-DA01) for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and OpCT-001 for the treatment of primary photoreceptor diseases are clinical stage programs. BlueRock was founded in 2016 as a joint venture of Versant Ventures and Leaps by Bayer. Working at BlueRock has been a dream come true based upon the significant amount of experience I have had in the field. I feel like I am doing fun, interesting, and valuable work and I am confident in saying that my managers understand the value that I provide to BlueRock.

Competitive salary with yearly assessments for raises and bonuses.

They all work hard, know their roles, and talk in an open manner.

They are easy to talk to and frank regarding the questions that I ask them.

The salary as well as paid commute to and from work (although I do not take full advantage).

Everyone is extremely open and collaborative. They are patient and always willing to help/explain processes, timelines, and decisions that are made.

It is intellectually stimulating and I am in a position to make decisions that matter to the goals of the company.

They are all well-spoken, intelligent, and professional people who I trust to make decisions for the good of BlueRock's mission and the well-being of its employees.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is intelligent, capable, and motivated. They are experts in the work that they do and operate independently to complete their tasks. They also challenge me intellectually, spurring scientific conversations based around how to accomplish BlueRock's research goals.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The collaborative nature of all the different platform and cell type teams is the most positive aspect of BlueRock's culture. Everyone is willing and eager to help everyone else and we all seem invested in the mission of the company.
What makes you most happy at work?
I get to do and think about science at work from experimental design, to timelines, to the logistics of how all aspects of a study will be accomplished! I get to do the work that I feel I was meant to do and am good at.
