Find this a good job that offers the ability to earn a decent wage/commission. Only downside is the long days and working most holidays with very little reward from the management group and bonuses were taken away from most of the retail team but increased for the management team.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Quick decisions. Many large companies take weeks if not months to make decisions about hiring.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I like the independence on some products to negotiate the sales price to help the guest achieve the desired sleep solution. Often work alone so individuals can be responsible for their own success.
What makes you most happy at work?
Helping a guest that has health issues find the best sleep solution that fits their comfort needs and budget. Getting feedback from a happy guest that is now sleeping better than anytime in their life is gratifying.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Follow our Company vision and Mission. Many of my co-workers do what is good for them not the guest. Our values are to put the customer first, Integrity always... many don't follow and are rewarded.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Long hours for Retail front line workers and it seems every year the company takes away pay incentives and benefits. This last year was a record year for the company even during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Staff was a minimum for less pay. Corporate leadership all got bonuses when retail lost benefits
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We are notified of changes within weeks of the change with no time to take advantage of the old rules. Lost carry over vacation time/floating holidays with no time to request to use them before they expire. Was told 6 months ago all hours would carry over... Change is the only constant.
