I've had an overall mixed experience working here. While I don't mind a lot of the people that work over here, I'm tired of competing in sales just to make ends meet to satisfy people who often times aren't worth the trouble. I need something with consistent pay and offers me a better scheduling.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The main thing that's kept me from outright leaving the store has been my sales manager being understanding of my situation and doing his best to accommodate me.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The most positive thing I have to say about the culture is that it's predominantly nerdy which made me feel welcomed to work at the store back when I first started.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The base pay of $4 per hour is way too low and I've had unpleasant experiences with insurance providing too little or nonexistent coverage to things I need like therapy and my HRT medication.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The customers are extremely rude and entitled, base pay for commission is way too low, and often times it feels like I'm swimming around in a shark tank while out on the sales floor as I feel like it's pretty much survival of the fittest, or whomever can get in the most amount of sales.
