the leadership team in store is mostly good. my only complaint with them is the lack of communication on certain things. the cooperate team continually shows me that they dont care about us. they refuse to take things off of web order when theyre new so none of us salesmen get any commission.

The 5090 Launch was terrible. First come first serve created an unsightly camp outside of the building for more than two weeks that put people at risk of illness and injury. Uncool. We need to do a QR code or a raffle or something that prevents a big stinky mass of bodies camping on the building.

On boarding and communication. I have been with the organization for just over a month and the reality doesn't align with what is taught during the gear onboarding. Instead of learning from best practices I have been thrusted in to situations where I have no reference on how to handle.
Leadership without implementing micromanagement and threats of demotion. I am personally more inspired by leadership by example, and at our store I feel like the management strategy could not be further from that.

Communicating and listening. Feedback is asked for, but it's often not taken seriously. The attitude is "this is the way things are." and it seems like they don't care to try to investigate how things could be changed for the better, they just want us to conform to the way things are going.

A lot of them seem to take a hands off approach and demand excess work out of us. They expect for the employee to adopt a devote desire to work tirelessly while they kick up their feet. Management needs to be more involved with gaining a perspective from others, use experience, and show compassion.

Establish clear career paths for associates and leadership. It seems to change depending who you talk to and can be very frustrating.
Executives should look in to pay raises for everyone throughout the store. With a retailers success, the success is attributed to EVERYONE working in the 20+ retail stores. As MicroCenter continues to grow and prosper, the teams in the retail side should see their fare share of prosperity.
