This is the 3rd insurance company I've worked for and definitely the most fun. Instead of making minor updates to an existing program then waiting a year or longer to view any results, I get to build something new and see the positive impact on customers in real time!
What did you like most about the interview process?
I actually got to visit the office (it was pre-pandemic) and meet my potential co-workers and visualize myself in the role.
What makes you most happy at work?
I can actually see the impact from my work. It's not just that I helped create something and see it get used; we receive feedback from individual customers describing how much of a difference it makes.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
My previous company kept whittling down the benefits, making employees feel like we were a financial burden. At NEXT, the benefits package continues to be generous, making me feel like the company values not just what I contribute but also my personal well-being.
What are some of the best things about your team?
You know how whenever there's a group of people, there's one individual who ruins it for everyone else? We don't have that person! Everyone looks out for one another and wants to help each other, and we genuinely have fun while we get our work done.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I actually get to interact with the leadership team; they're not just a name in another city who you never meet. I've had regular meetings with the COO. When I asked how we were able to forecast long-tail lines of business, the CEO scheduled a meeting to explain it!
