Disrespect. Extremely high turnover. Corporate is condescending -- they brag about "low labor cost" in ads about joining as a franchisee in our own store. Poor communication, no care for employees. Cheat the system by keeping some people BARELY under full time to avoid giving benefits.

Quick and easy. If you pass the drug and background checks, show up on time, and aren't rude, you'll probably get the job.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Almost all of our staff knows about animals. We do our best to help each and every neighbor (customer), we don't have any slackers, and we all treat each other with respect.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Emphasis on caring about animals. Our care guides are leagues above most, giving more realistic ideas of the care needed for various animals. We do NOT push live animal sales. It's about finding the RIGHT home, not bagging another sale. It's hard to find that at most pet stores.
