I've only been working at Squarespace for about 3-4 months, but I hope that I can continue to work here for the next few years at least. It feels like I could really learn and grow with the company given the chance.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The health insurance has been good for my needs so far, and relatively simple to use. I'm interested to see if it will stay that way with more significant treatments I hope to have next year.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Compared to other jobs I have had in the past, Squarespace leadership is good at being transparent with what is going on with the company, and seem genuinely interested in the growth of their individual employees at all levels.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being able to solve problems and actually help people out with their issues makes me happy. It's also nice to be able to work from home with my cat chilling next to me as quiet emotional support, that makes me happy as well.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Since I started, everyone on the team has been welcoming and eager to help. I've been on teams where it felt more like a constant competition for favor, but that doesn't seem to be the case at Squarespace. People are genuinely interested in lifting each other up, which is nice to see.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
As a LGBT+ individual it can be hard to find workplaces that feel safe and welcoming. It shouldn't need to be a major factor, but it is. Being able to feel safe and like I won't be judged or treated unfairly because of my identity makes it easier to focus on my actual job.
