Being proud to work for a company is a positive indicator of employee retention. And even during this age, when job-hopping is more prevalent than it once was, 76% percent of workers in tech say they are proud to work at their company, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably. More than 5,000 people across the technology industry participated in the study.
Men vs. women
Men were slightly more likely to say they were proud of their company (78% vs. 74% of women), according to the data.
From a diversity perspective
Caucasians and Asians/Pacific Islanders had the highest rates of saying they were proud of their company. Hispanic/Latino workers had the lowest.
From a department view
People in HR and executive roles were most likely to say they were proud of where they work (91% and 89% of them said they were proud, respectively), followed next by those in business development (83%). People in legal were least proud of where they work (65% of them said they were proud), followed next by design (66%) and IT (71%).
Age appears unrelated
The data appears to show no real correlation between age and company pride.
The latest data is as of Jan. 3.
