According to Millions of Employee Ratings
What makes a great leader? More than one third of employees surveyed on Comparably.com said they’d have a better vision/strategy if they were the boss and nearly half of employees surveyed say their direct manager needs to improve upon communication the most. The 7th annual Best Leadership Teams list from Comparably (now a ZoomInfo company) recognizes the top-rated management teams, according to current employees from tens of thousands of companies who anonymously rated their CEOs, executive leadership, and direct managers over the past 12 months.
Given the challenging market conditions of the past year, being a visionary and servant leader that keeps internal stakeholders like employees happy – while meeting the demands of external forces like Wall Street or investors – is no easy feat, but still an important one for talent acquisition and retention.
The Top 25 Large and Small to Midsize companies are listed below, followed by detailed methodology. The complete list of Top 100 winners, including company rank, location, and industry, is available here.

Methodology
Comparably’s 7th annual Best Leadership Teams list is based solely on ratings provided by current employees who anonymously rated their CEOs, executive leadership, and direct managers on Comparably.com over a 12-month period (May 13, 2023 through May 13, 2024).
Questions were asked in a variety of data-driven formats (True/False, Yes/No, 1-10 scale, multiple choice). The answer to each question was then given a numerical score and compared to companies of similar size.
There were no fees or costs associated with participating, nor was nomination required. The final data set was compiled from 20 million ratings across 70,000 U.S. and Canadian companies.
To qualify, Large companies (more than 500 employees) must have met a minimum of 75 employee participants and Small/Mid-Size companies (500 employees or less) needed a minimum of 25 employee participants. For fairness and statistical significance, additional weight was given to companies with more participation from their employee base.
