A query of more than 10,000 tech workers reveals that people who work in the communications are least content with their work-life balance.
Fifty-three percent of workers in the communications department at tech companies say they are satisfied with their work-life balance, according to a July 3 reading of an ongoing query by Comparably. Breaking it down by gender, that’s 59% of men and 49% of women.

Workers in other departments rated their work-life balance much higher. Sixty-nine percent of men and 63% of women overall said they approve of their work-life balance.
By city
Salt Lake City came out on top, with 77% of workers there saying they approved of their work-life balance. Seattle (75%) and Austin (72%) followed closely behind.
Workers in Atlanta were least happy about their work-life balance (63%), followed by Houston and Los Angeles (64%).
