Golden Hippo offers 100% employer-paid health benefits. The company pays 100% of the employee’s premium(s) and 75% of the dependents’ premium(s) for medical, dental, and vision. This is almost unheard of nowadays and we really pride ourselves on being able to offer this because our employee’s health and well-being is our priority. We’ve received overwhelming feedback that our healthcare package is one of the top reasons why candidates join Golden Hippo and employees really love working here – they feel valued and taken care of. In fact, we’ve won Comparably’s award for “Best Company – Perks & Benefits” 5 years in a row!
How have these offerings changed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic?
We’re happy to say that we’ve always offered a top-of-the-line healthcare package, so we didn’t need to change much during the pandemic. Instead, we focused on re-emphasizing the importance of taking care of your mental health in addition to your physical health by highlighting the mental health resources that are included in our award-winning healthcare package. We also remind employees that sick days can be used for mental health days, and we offer an Employee Assistance Program which is free, confidential, 24/7 counseling and support services.

Stack Overflow offers premium medical benefits coverage for the employee and their family at no cost, up to $5,000 for 16 weeks of parental leave, $5k reimbursement for those who adopt, and a stipend for new parents for their first four months of leave. In addition, we reimburse employees up to $150 per month for fitness/well-being. In addition, we offer unlimited sick leave and mental health days. Lastly, we’ll reimburse up to $5,000 annually for the participant undergoing treatment or a procedure considered unlawful within their home state, plus a companion.
How have these offerings changed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic?
The offerings increased as we created further remote-centric benefits. At the beginning of March 2020, we had all employees go fully remote and stay permanently remote if they chose to. We offered a remote home office reimbursement to ensure they were set up with everything they needed to succeed. Stack Overflow rolled out the COVID Accommodation Policy to offer employees to work part-time as they navigated through the unprecedented time.

How have these offerings changed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic?
Curative responded virtually overnight to the pandemic and became the nation’s largest COVID-19 testing provider. Now we’re taking what we learned and
investing it in tackling the broader issue – the healthcare system — with our own employer-sponsored health insurance plan, also available to Curative employees. With the rising cost of health care in the US, our plan is a significant benefit that can help ease financial burdens for employees and their families. To learn more, visit curative.com.

Our purpose is people at UKG, and that purpose begins with the ways we care for our employees (“U Krewers”). As part of our comprehensive benefits package, UKG offers 100%-company-paid healthcare premiums (medical, dental, and vision) for U Krewers and their spouses, dependents, and domestic partners — including coverage for infertility treatments, gender-affirming surgery, and surrogacy. This represents an investment of more than $18,000 per U Krewer for healthcare in 2023. U Krewers also have access to various on-site and virtual wellness benefits inherently designed to support the four pillars of our employees’ health and wellbeing: physical, environmental, emotional, and financial wellness.
How have these offerings changed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic?
The COVID-19 pandemic taught us that people want flexibility, choice, and equity. UKG brought that concept to fruition through our new global, equitable benefits program called “U Choose.” Like the name suggests, this program is all about employee choice: U Krewers receive a quarterly stipend, so they can choose the specific benefits that best support their individual personal and professional journeys — from childcare needs to pet insurance to gym memberships to home-office equipment to student-loan repayments. How U Krewers spend their stipends is entirely up to them through U Choose!

At nCino, we hustle to build industry leading products, sign innovative customers and expand our business across the industry and the world. While our achievements and the progress we’ve made and continue to make are important to us, our most important asset is our employees. Without them, there would be no nCino, so that’s why we offer a comprehensive benefits package that starts their first day. Our package includes ample coverage of all the essentials, like medical, vision, dental and prescription drug coverage. nCino also offers both disability and life insurance, as well as a company-funded HSA account.
But we don’t only provide the necessities for our employees to be healthy physically. We also provide benefits that prove our investment in our employees’ overall wellness, like our Employee Assistance Program that offers 24/7 confidential support, 100% paid childbirth, parental and foster leave, generous paid time off and flex holidays. In addition to these benefits, we want to ensure our employees are set up for success in the future as well. Whether it’s through our 401K Retirement Plan or student debt repayment opportunities, we help our employees plan for their future with ease. Because we are a growing global company, the benefits our employees receive differ depending on their location, but all employees are provided with ample coverage, care and support.
How have these offerings changed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic?
COVID-19 changed many of our employees’ lifestyles. As a result, nCino had to pivot to meet their changing needs well. While our benefits didn’t go through a large-scale transformation, we did update and add to our benefits package to better care for our employees. One of the biggest ways that we changed our package was the expansion of our Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). US based employees now have access to eight face-to-face or virtual visits with a licensed counselor at no cost to them. In addition, employees can call our partner organization 24/7, at no cost to them, to receive assistance with personal matters like family, finances, health and work. As the pandemic caused chaos in many parts of our employees’ lives, we leaned into these programs to help them find new ways to balance the changing environment.
