We understand that each employee has different responsibilities outside of work so we also continue to evolve our parental and caregiver benefits. For example, in the early summer of 2020, we began to offer unlimited access to Outschool, a benefit that offers more than 100,000 classes for children ages 3-18 online so parents/caregivers may feel comfortable working with their children at home. All employees also have access to Modern Health, a well-being tool that offers digital content such as meditations and well-being assessments, including four sessions with a licensed clinical provider and/or four sessions with a career coach. To promote the best possible work/life balance for all, we offer flexible paid time off and employees are encouraged to set their workday according to their personal schedule. Simply put, supporting parents enriches Klaviyo. Our Klaviyo parents bring a diversity of experience and unique perspective that strengthens any team they belong to. We find that the traits that make someone a great parent also make them a remarkable employee: flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances (particularly valuable during this period of rapid growth at Klaviyo), empathy for customers and colleagues, a collaborative spirit, and ability to problem solve on their feet. It is important to us that all of our employees feel able to bring their whole selves to work and recognize that a key part of this is putting support measures in place to facilitate work/life balance, especially for parents.

WilsonHCG supports parents and caregivers through its flexible work schedules and unlimited time off options (so employees don’t need to miss any school functions or doctor appointments, for example). We support parents of all backgrounds, including veterans, spouses, and their families, to find employment through our participation in the Hiring Our Heroes program. We also have generous regional parental bonding options — including birthing, non-birthing, adoptive and foster situations. Our parental leave, which is flexible for mothers, fathers, same-sex partners, and surrogacy arrangements, gives employees flexibility around how to best care for their new child based on medical and financial needs. WilsonHCG also has a fourth-trimester support program for those planning to take maternity leave. Through this program, a representative is allocated as the main point of contact for employees before, during, and after their leave, providing support for a smooth departure and return to work. Summer Fridays during children’s time off school give parents extra days to make the most of quality time with their families. Our dedicated employee belonging group (EBG), Parents at Wilson, helps create a space for other parents and caregivers to bond and support each other through regular meetings around child development and sharing fun activities and stories. A comprehensive employee assistance program provides 100% employer-funded support around health and wellness, personal and family situations, financial and work-related matters. The company also makes employer contributions toward a Health Savings Account (HSA) in the US as well as other affordable health and well-being coverage for families regionally.

WilsonHCG stands by its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) as an organization, and that includes supporting parents, caregivers, and employees’ personal and professional goals. With this flexibility, employees feel empowered to make positive decisions about their careers and families. Many team members feel enrichment from having the ability to take time off to grow families and share their stories internally. This work-life balance, in turn, motivates their return to the workforce and builds strong bonds between team members for ongoing collaboration, innovation, and growth.
