In today’s fast-paced business environment, progressive organizations are recognizing that employee mental health is not just a personal concern but a critical component of workplace success. As Mental Health Awareness Month arrives this May, we spotlight companies that are taking meaningful action to support their workforce’s psychological wellbeing. These organizations shared their plans for the month’s observance and, more importantly, their year-round commitment to mental health resources. From innovative wellness programs to comprehensive benefits packages, these employers are setting new standards for how businesses can foster mentally healthy workplace cultures while destigmatizing conversations around psychological wellbeing. Their approaches offer valuable insights for organizations looking to enhance their own mental health initiatives and demonstrate the growing recognition that employee mental health is fundamental to organizational resilience and success.
How does your company plan to recognize and promote Mental Health Awareness Month this May?
Each year at Concentrix, we recognize Mental Health Awareness Month with virtual and in-person events with specific topics that discuss mental health and other resources we make available to our teams, real-life case studies, experience sharing, self-help tips, and more. We will also organize virtual and in-person engagement activities that work to support Mental Health Awareness, guard against biases, and provide valuable self-help resources.
What ongoing mental health resources and support does your organization provide to employees throughout the year, and how do you ensure these resources are accessible and well-communicated?
We refer to our employees as “game-changers,” and we prioritize their wellbeing and mental health through a comprehensive, multi-directional approach called “WeCare” that focuses on three pillars: Care, Protect, and Innovate. This strategy is tailored to meet the needs of the cultures and communities we serve, while adhering to global standards to which each country contributes. Our dedication is reflected in our leadership’s wellness performance metrics, and offering 24/7 access to preventive and crisis support resources for both office and remote environments.
Our “Care” pillar focuses on psychoeducation for managers to better support their teams. We have trained tens of thousands of our game-changers in mental health awareness and equip our leaders with skills to help identify and support those facing mental health challenges. Our annual Your Voice Wellbeing (ESAT) Surveys also provide actionable insights into game-changer work life and wellness.
The “Protect” pillar bolsters our staff support infrastructure. We now have thousands of trained Mental Wellness Partners, offering peer support in 55+ countries and 50 languages. We broadened crisis and suicidal support certification to EMEA, North America, and East Asia, who intervened in hundreds of crisis cases. Confidential Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) further our commitment to game-changer mental wellbeing.
The “Innovate” pillar centers on either developing new wellbeing tools or bringing new technologies in place to better help our game-changers. We launched our UnMute podcast in 2024, engaging over thousands of listeners by sharing game-changer wellbeing stories to combat mental health stigma. Our revamped internal resource platform — called CORE — offers tools like mental health check-in cards and guidebooks. SafeSpace, our central platform where game-changers can access all wellbeing resources, also provides 24/7 access to crisis helplines, EAPs, confidential chats with Mental Wellness Partners, and concise mental health learning guides.
Building on the success of our Wellbeing Index, we maintain our Center of Excellence Index to explore the connections between wellbeing and the employee experience, including benefits, culture, recognition, engagement, and mentorship. We analyzed hundreds of millions of data points from over 30 sources, resulting in 60 pieces of internal research to inform and empower leadership in strategic decision-making. Additionally, we developed a heatmap using natural language processing to analyze feedback from Glassdoor and our engagement survey. Monthly results are shared with senior leadership to address risk areas.
This comprehensive, data-driven, and culturally sensitive approach to game-changer wellbeing and mental wellness ensures we effectively support them daily.

How does your company plan to recognize and promote Mental Health Awareness Month this May?
This May, in recognition of Mental Health Month, we’re shining a spotlight on how giving back supports not just those we help, but our own mental and emotional resilience. We have shared an article about the power of volunteering for reducing stress, combating feelings of loneliness, and increasing happiness – all key contributors to positive mental health. By taking time to care for others, we also care for ourselves, fostering a culture of empathy, connection, and wellbeing across RX. Through our RX Cares programme, employees across the globe use dedicated volunteer hours to make a difference in their communities. While our RXers experience the mental health benefits of their volunteering, many make a meaningful impact on the mental health of those they volunteer with by providing emotional support, reducing isolation, and fostering personal connections.
What ongoing mental health resources and support does your organization provide to employees throughout the year, and how do you ensure these resources are accessible and well-communicated?
At RX, we are committed to supporting the mental health and overall wellness of our employees year-round. To ensure our RXers feel empowered and supported, we’ve introduced Mental Health First Aiders in the UK, who serve as a reliable source of assistance for colleagues facing emotional or mental health challenges. Through comprehensive training, these individuals are equipped with the skills and confidence to recognise common mental health issues, offer guidance, and connect their colleagues with the appropriate support resources.
In addition to this personalised support, RX offers a variety of resources aimed at building resilience and promoting mental health at work and in life. Our parent company, RELX, provides an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), an invaluable resource available to all RX employees globally. This confidential, 24/7 helpline offers professional counselling services for a wide range of topics, including relationships, financial and legal concerns, emotional challenges, and medical issues.
To further support mental well-being, RX employees have free access to Headspace, a global leader in mindfulness and meditation. Through the Headspace app, employees can explore storytelling, breathing exercises, guided meditations, and tools for managing stress, improving focus, and enhancing sleep. Additionally, we collaborate with LexisNexis on the Thrive Wellbeing Programme, which grants all employees access to the Thrive WellbeingHUB. This platform provides a library of resources and webinars designed to recharge the mind, energise the body, and more.
We also emphasise the importance of mental health through engaging content, including articles and personal reflections from colleagues who share their own tips and perspectives. These articles, along with information about all available resources, are easily accessible through our intranets and website. We ensure they remain well-communicated by regularly promoting them through internal newsletters and by encouraging our Mental Health First Aiders to guide colleagues to the right support. With these efforts, RX strives to create a culture where mental health is prioritised, and employees feel supported every step of the way.
