Companies with Unique ERGs

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups whose aim is to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with the organizations they serve. In an era when diversity and inclusion are of the utmost importance, ERGs are key to the progressive workplaces we are all looking towards. “I have long been an advocate and ally for people with disabilities and have personally been impacted within my family and friendship circle,” says Beth Salamida, Guidewire’s Head of Total Rewards and Executive Sponsor for ABLEguide. “With ABLEguide, our goal is to empower people with visible and invisible disabilities, destigmatize differences, and create a safe space for people to share their stories and be heard, understood, and supported.” As part of Guidewire’s evolving Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion journey, ERGs have been a critical and tangible way to create an inclusive community, driven directly by our employees. ERGs reflect Guidewire’s global commitment to providing ways for our employees to have more meaningful connections with our entire Guidewire community.

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) bring together team members who share a common interest or background and provide opportunities for employees to gain leadership experience, get involved in the community and develop new ideas to help drive us forward. These groups also help us better understand and appreciate team members who have different styles, perspectives and ideas than our own. While ERG members represent various communities within Asurion, all are welcome. In fact, joining an ERG allows us to cultivate an environment of teamwork at every level. With that knowledge and awareness, we become better teammates and strengthen the entire Asurion team.

Resource groups help to foster inclusion, collaboration, team member networks, and support. Starting a new job can seem overwhelming, especially in the current remote workforce. nCino’s ERGs have proven to be an incredible asset to the company. At nCino, it’s important that our employees have an active voice both inside and outside of work, and these groups have provided employees with a space to share resources and talk about issues that aren’t always discussed in corporate settings, such as last year’s BLM protests and the rise of violence against Asian-Americans. These issues affect us even during working hours, and our ERGs are one way we can promote a diverse and inclusive workforce that recognizes this fact and encourages our employees to bring their full selves to work.
