We surveyed more than 1,600 Tech employees that work in Marketing to compare their total compensation across the country. The average annual compensation for the positions of Marketing Manager, Director of Marketing and VP of Marketing were calculated for the cities of Boston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Seattle.
Marketing Managers in Boston had the lowest average annual total compensation at $81,686 while those in San Francisco had the highest at $101,828.
Directors of Marketing were paid the least in Seattle and the most in San Francisco, with average annual total compensation of $138,083 and $197,034 respectively.
Surprisingly, the average annual total compensation for the title of VP of Marketing in Boston was $300,032, while New York was only $216,014.
