Product Compensation In Tech

We surveyed more than 2,000 product employees working in tech to find out how their compensation was broken down by Job Title and Gender, Ethnicity and by eight different cities in the U.S. In terms of pay differential, we found that women in product marketing make more than men by 12%, while male technical writers made 19% more than women.

When comparing Product employee average annual compensation by ethnicity, we found that those identified as Asian or Pacific Islander made the most money at $160,245, Hispanic or Latino employees made the least at $134,445.  Out of the eight cities surveyed, Product employees in San Francisco made the most at $172,047, those in L.A. were roughly middle of the road at $149,662 and the least money was made per employee in Chicago.
