People who work in product, customer support, and IT say they don’t receive as much recognition for their accomplishments as people in other departments, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably. More than 1,000 workers across the technology industry participated in the query.
Departments at glance
People in executive roles at tech companies showed the highest rates of receiving recognition for their good work (79%), followed next by those in HR (78%) and business development (74%). People in product had the lowest rate (55%), followed next by customer support (57%) and IT (61%).
The age decline
Workers in the youngest category (18 to 25) were most likely to say they feel recognized (75%). The rate declined from there, hitting a low of 57% among workers between 51 and 55.

Men vs. women
Men and women showed nearly identical rates of saying they feel recognized for their positive achievements at work.
