Thirty-three percent of employees in the technology industry say having better leadership would improve company culture, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably.
The most popular response
Better leadership was the most popular response, followed next by “more communication” and “more transparency.” The least popular answers were “more diverse employees” and “stricter HR policies.”

Men and women answered nearly identically. Women were slightly more likely to choose “more communication” than men (31% vs. 27%), though both ranked “better leaders” as most important.
Young workers were most likely to choose “more communication.” Workers across all levels chose “better leaders” as the No. 1 priority except for workers 18 to 25, who ranked “more communication” as their top pick.

The latest reading is as of Oct. 9 and includes the responses of more than 5,000 workers across the technology industry.
