Tech Workers in Seattle, San Francisco Are the Biggest Savers

With the average American saving less than 5% of their disposable income each month, it’s quite the feat to be saving 10% or more.

And yet 41% of workers across the tech world say they save at least 10% of their paychecks each month, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably. More than 10,000 employees participated in the query.

Seattle and San Francisco were the cities with the highest percentage of workers who saved 10% or more of their paycheck each month (66% and 65%). Nearly 40% of workers in each of those cities claim to save at least 20%.
