There are a multitude of things that keep people happy at work, but right up at the top is work-life balance.
Thirty-six percent of people said work-life balance is what they care about most in a job, not including salary, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably. More than 10,000 people across the tech sector participated in the query.
Men vs. women
Men and women were similar in their responses, though women chose “health care opportunities” slightly more (16% vs. 11% of men) and “career advancement opportunities” slightly less (20% vs. 27% of men).

Chicago is all about it
People in every city ranked “work-life balance” at the top, though Chicagoans were really all about it: 43% of respondents from Chi-town were in favor of work-life balance.
