GE Vernova celebrates Pride Month in June to acknowledge the history, dignity, and impact of LGBTQIA+ people, while also promoting visibility and self-affirmation, in partnership with the Pride Alliance. The Pride Alliance is an employee resource group (ERG) that supports employees who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual, intersex, and their allies. Throughout the month the group raises awareness about LGBTQAI+ issues, advocates for the creation of inclusive work environments, and emphasizes education and support.

Our Pride ERG is hosting several events in June: first, a moderated panel with reps from the US, Europe, the Philippines, and Latin America to discuss the LGBTQ experience in their countries – growing up, starting a career, and starting a family. We are also hosting Fabrice Houdart as a guest speaker on his experiences being a gay parent. We have planned a screening of The Lavender Scare followed by a Q&A session. We are briefly profiling LGBTQ icons in media, sports, and activism. We also are doing a live/virtual 5k for LGBTQ charities, and asking all members to share their pictures of local Pride celebrations.

At RingCentral, we’re celebrating Pride Month with a three-pronged approach under the theme “Reflect, Empower, Unite.” We will host educational sessions as we reflect on the history of Pride Month and commemorate the 55th anniversary of Stonewall. We will hear from senior executives in a keynote discussion about how embracing their identities has propelled their careers. We all know that Pride is all about positive inclusivity, so we will host a number of events designed to foster unity and inclusion, including a Pride Party, “Drag Brunch” cooking class and, in some regions, our employees will be participating in local Pride parades.

Opportunities to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community are available throughout our offices year-round. Vertafore launched a fundraising campaign with sales from Vertafore-designed pride merchandise going directly to the Queer Trans Project – a nonprofit providing gender-affirming resources to empower queer and trans individuals.
Leading the charge is the Employee Resource Group, Queertafore, a growing team with a mission to provide inclusive and safe/brave spaces for LGBTQIA+ people and their allies at Vertafore. Additional opportunities for employees to celebrate include hosted lunches and happy hours at each office location and by putting on a virtual Drag Queen Bingo hosted by Denver-based drag queen, Miss Jessica.
Each year our employees give hundreds of hours of their time and countless resources to organizations and causes through Volunteer Time Off (VTO). Employees are encouraged to use their VTO to volunteer at various Pride events across the country.
