Job hopping to be a millennial stereotype, but it seems everyone’s doing it.
When asked how much longer they see themselves working at their current company, 25% of people said less than a year, making it the most popular answer, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably. The next most popular answers were “more than 2 years,” “1-2 more years” and “not sure.” The least popular answer was “indefinitely.” More than 10,000 workers across the technology industry participated in the survey.

People of all ages chose “less than a year” as their top response — even those in their mid-30s and above.

Men and women were nearly identical in their responses, with the most popular answer as “less than a year” and least popular “indefinitely.”

Executives want to stick around; HR and Communications also in it for the long haul
From a department perspective, the only groups to choose something other than “less than 1 year” as the top response were those in executive roles, HR, and communications.
The top answer among executives was “indefinitely” (23%), while the top answer for HR and communications workers was “more than two years” (29% and 26%, respectively).
