What do you like best about the leadership team?
very cautious, lots of new ideas
When I worked at a lab at Emory, I liked how they constantly communicated so I was in the loop.
President Stark is doing a great job as the university's first female president. I am glad to see her set a great precedent for future presidents to follow.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
lots of vacation and sick leave
Good benefits in the compensation package.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The pay for women, especially women of color, is beyond low. Living in a big city is expensive, and our paychecks are ridiculously low. Most staff are struggling to survive dye to the low pay, and yet our benefits continue to increase.
Despite claiming to be a progressive institution, the administration is slow to change. They are very budget focused, but don't mind taking large salaries themselves.
I was paid a research stipend which was fairly low.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Since we are understaffed and underpaid, we attempt to ease the workload by stepping in to help one another. This is rare in this type of environment.
The people I work with are great and support each other's efforts.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Perhaps more communication is needed.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
very collaborative and nice people
Great company environment; people are very friendly.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
First, fairly compensate your employees! Or else you will continue to have high turn over. Stop increasing the cost of our benefits, offer better office spaces and parental leave. Promote women of color!
What did you like most about the interview process?
very transparent and very effective
I liked how they allowed me to talk about my past experiences and then allowed me to ask many questions on my end.
