How flexible is your work schedule at Attwood Corporation?
We ask that everyone is in the office 9am - 4pm and then you decide if you can come in early and leave early or come in late and leave late. Put in a solid 40 honor system. Demonstrate teamwork and respect. Additionally we have summer hours between Memorial day and Labor Day where we allow half days on Friday if you put in a solid 40 hours before noon on Friday
What does the ideal candidate in the Engineering department look like at Attwood Corporation?
The best engineering candidates are passionate about boating or fishing. Attwood make products that have a tremendous impact on the sports of fishing, water skiing, wake boarding, and leisure marine products. Understanding the use case is very important. However it does not take long to become passionate about boats. Aside from this passion the engineer at attwood will need to be able to demonstrate solid engineering fundamentals, design principles, but should also be willing to be involved in prototyping, building samples, testing product. You need to be broad in your knowledge because there are not layers of Test Engineers, and DFMEA engineers, and Analysis engineers. All of those roles will need to be exercised in the engineering role here. (It helps if you like to play ping pong as we have a ping pong table that we gather at before and after work, and during lunch hour :) )
