Over time pay is ok but crisis pay is better. Holiday pay is not so great, but that is not unusual with any company.
Everyone smiles and is doing their best to help each other. This is not common with most companies, but here it is. From the cleaning staff to transporters, operators on the phones to surgery team, everyone has the same goal. Do our very best to do the very best.
I really like the panel interview. It had patient family members, board heads, nurse, MA. The were the perfect group because that is ultimately who you are working for. This is who you will be supporting and treating. They should have a say in who is on their team
They understand the plight of its employees but also have to do the job that they were hired for. This job means doing what the upper management needs them to do. Often the two do not play well together, but here they do a fairly good job at a very difficult thing.
The people that I work with and the patients and families that I care for. Knowing that what I am doing is making a difference means everything. But, again, it works best when we work as a team. A great day can be hard and hectic but if you have a good team it can also be the best day ever.
We (most of us) understand what the job is and how it has to be done. If we dont work as a team then the work is not good and the care we give is not the top that we can do. When you have a good team you can accomplish anything. I look forward to seeing the people I work with.
