James Bachmann — Independent Director at Abercrombie & Fitch Company

Mr. James B. Bachmann served as Managing Partner of the Columbus, Ohio practice since 1992. Mr. Bachmann served as a Managing Partner at Ernst & Young LLP from 1992 to June 30, 2003, where Mr. Bachmann was a Partner for 26 years. He advised on accounts including U.S. and multi-national publicly held companies including those that have had initial public offerings. Mr. Bachmann has acted as the Senior Advisory Partner for several Fortune 500 companies. He served as Chairman of the Board of Prologue Research International, Inc. He serves as a Director of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company. Mr. Bachmann has been an Independent Director of Abercrombie & Fitch Co. since July 11, 2003. He has been an Independent Director of Lancaster Colony Corporation since November 17, 2003 and has been its Lead Independent Director since November 2007. He served as a Director of Prologue Research International, Inc. He served as a Director of Nationwide since 2003. Mr. Bachmann serves as a Trustee of the Columbus Museum of Art and as Chairman of Prologue Research, a contract research organization in oncology funded by the James Cancer Hospital of The Ohio State University. He held leadership positions with the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, United Way and Ohio Business Roundtable. As a Certified Public Accountant, he is a Member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Bachmann holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from John Carroll University.
