Lauren M. Sabella — Chief Commercial Officer at Acorda Therapeutics

Ms. Lauren M. Sabella has been the Chief Commercial Officer at Acorda Therapeutics, Inc. since February 2015 and served as its Executive Vice President of Commercial Development since January 25, 2010 until February 2015. Ms. Sabella was the Founder and Principal of Tugboat Consulting Group. She served as Corporate Officer and Vice President of Commercial Development for Altus Pharmaceuticals Inc., from May 2006 to September 2008 with responsibility for all aspects of commercialization. Ms. Sabella was employed by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals for 18 years in positions of increasing responsibility. She served as Vice President of Sales for Eastern Zone, where she led the successful sales launch of Spiriva and ran both Primary Care and Specialty Divisions, including Neurology, Urology and Cardio/Pulmonary and she was responsible for leading and managing over 1000 Regional Directors, District Managers and Sales Representatives that generated approximately $2 billion in sales revenue across its promoted portfolio. She served as Executive Director of Marketing in Boehringer's Respiratory Medicine area, a key therapeutic franchise with several products including Atrovent(R), Combivent(R), and Spiriva(R) indicated for the treatment of COPD. She also served as Director of CNS Marketing and was responsible for the launch of Mobic(R), a $1 billion product in the US NSAID marketplace and for Mirapex(R), a drug to treat Parkinson Disease. Ms. Sabella holds a BBA from Hofstra University.
