Mr. Matthew A. Thompson, also known as Matt, serves as an Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited. Mr. Thompson is responsible for the strategy and direction of Adobe's sales operations across the company's diverse product lines. He has been an Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations of Adobe Systems Incorporated since January 2013. He leads Adobe's efforts to capitalize on long-term growth opportunities and align its sales and support organizations with key customer segments. He is responsible for the strategy and direction of Adobe's sales operations across the company's diverse product lines. He oversees Adobe's global sales organization and all customer-facing functions, including global services, e-commerce, customer success, strategic alliances and Adobe Consulting. He served as the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at Adobe Systems Incorporated since January 2007 until January 2013. He joined Adobe on January 1, 2007. Mr. Thompson served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Borland Software Corp. from October 15, 2003 to January 2, 2007. He was responsible for the overall direction of Borland sales execution worldwide, as well as the integration and cross training of the Borland sales organization. He was charged with Aligning effective sales processes as Borland moves further ahead with its Application Lifecycle Management strategy, designed to help businesses establish software as a competitive advantage by increasing their software capabilities. Mr. Thompson has over 25 years of sales experience and has spent a large part of his career in senior executive positions at enterprise software organizations such as Cadence Design Systems and EDS. He was employed at Calico Commerce, Inc. He served as Senior Vice President of worldwide sales Cadence Design Systems, Inc. From 1986 to 1994, he was part of the team at EDS that helped lead its transition to a multi-billion dollar organization. Mr. Thompson served as Senior Vice President of worldwide sales and Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Field Operations at Marimba, Inc. from February 2001 to January 31, 2003. His previous roles included at Electronic Data Systems and Nalco Chemical Company. He has been a Director of NCR Corporation since October 30, 2017. He has been a Director of Appirio, Inc. since September 2009. He serves as a Director of Software Development Forum and the Special Olympics Northern California. Mr. Thompson holds BS in Marketing and Management from Northern Illinois University.
