Brian S. Murphy — Senior Director of Portfolio Support at Advent International

Mr. Brian S. Murphy serves as a Senior Director of Portfolio Support at Advent International Corporation. Mr. Murphy joined Advent International Corporation in 2012. Mr. Murphy is a part of Advent International's global Portfolio Support team. He was an Operating Partner of Bain Capital Private Equity and Bain Capital, LLC. He worked 15 years at Bain Capital's portfolio group in the United States and Asia where, working with senior management, he led the post-acquisition efforts of numerous investments. He joined Bain capital in 1996 and was based in the Boston office. Most recently, Mr. Murphy was responsible for building Bain Capital's Asia operating team. He served as a Director at the Barents Group, he led its efforts in Central Europe to provide transaction and restructuring advisory services participating in several transformative transactions in the region. Previously, he worked six years at Bain & Company and was involved in numerous performance improvement and strategy projects. Throughout his career, Mr. Murphy has worked across a variety of industries and geographic markets including North America, Western and Central Europe, and Asia. Throughout his career, he has partnered with management teams to support their efforts to drive performance improvement. He serves as a Director of Medical Specialties Group Inc., and Walco International Inc. Mr. Murphy was a Member of Board of ACR Management LLC. He also served as director of The Priory Group Limited. He has 17 years of private equity experience and 10 years of consulting experience. He received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated, summa cum laude, with a B.S. from Duke University.
