Mr. Peter A. Brooke is a Co-Founder and Chairman of Brooke Private Equity Associates. Mr. Brooke serves as an Advisor to the investment team. Mr. Brooke is the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Advent International Corporation. He founded the firm in 1984 and was its Chairman. Until 1996, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Advent International Corporation for 11 years, he helped establish numerous affiliated venture capital and private equity firms in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Israel. He formed the Advent Network of 26 firms in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Israel and linked them to Advent's own offices in 13 countries around the world. He was a Founder and Managing Partner of TA Associates Management, L.P. Mr. Brooke founded the firm in 1968. He served at Standard Bank Argentina S.A. He served at Tucker Anthony & R L Day Inc. He served as the Head of Venture Capital department at Bessemer Investment Management LLC. From 1963 to 1968, he worked with the Partners of Tucker, Anthony & RL Day to form a venture capital management company. Three years later, he became the Partner in charge of Tucker Anthony's Corporate Finance and Venture Capital Departments. In 1961, he served as the Head of the Venture Capital and Special Situation Investing at Bessemer Securities Corporation till 1963. He played an integral role in the formation of many other leading venture capital firms in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. He began his career as a Loan Officer at the First National Bank of Boston, where he founded the High Technology Lending Group. He has raised and invested in excess of $8 billion during his career and has trained more venture capitalists than anyone in the industry. He began investing venture capital and private equity in international markets in 1974. In addition, he has helped a significant number of institutions enter the asset class including colleges, banks, insurance companies, and numerous non-profit organizations. He serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees and Life Trustee of Boston Symphony Orchestra Inc. He serves as a Director of Cambridge (England) Technology Management and Cambridge Technology Management Limited. He serves as a Member of Strategic Advisory Board of Artemis Capital Partners. He serves as a Member of Board of Trustees of Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary and WGBH Educational Foundation. Earlier, he served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Boston Symphony Orchestra. Previously, he served as a Director of Excello Corporation, New England Business Service Inc., Unitrode Corporation, and Wang Laboratories Co. Inc. He served as a Director of Wang Global, Inc. He served as a Trustee of Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Inc. He was an Overseer of Harvard University and served as a Trustee of Colgate University, the Eisenhower Exchange Fellowship, and the Middlesex School. He has over 55 years of banking and venture capital experience in the United States, Europe, Asia and other international markets. The Boston Business Journal named him as one of Greater Boston's 100 most influential business people of the 20th century. He is a member of the Private Equity Hall of Fame and is a recipient of the National Venture Capital Association's Lifetime Achievement in Venture Capital Award in 1999 and Harvard Business School's Alumni Achievement Award. The Boston Business Journal named him one of Greater Boston's 100 most influential business people of the 20th century. Mr. Brooke is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, and Phillips Exeter Academy.
