Ronald Ayles — Managing Partner, Managing Director, Partner, and Head of Chemicals Practice at Advent International

Mr. Ronald Ayles, also known as Ron, serves as a Managing Partner, Managing Director, Partner, and Head of Chemicals Practice at Advent International Corporation. He heads Advent's global chemicals and materials practice. Mr. Ayles joined the firm in 2005 and was previously a General Manager. He advises on buyout investments in chemicals, materials, and industrial sectors. Earlier, Mr. Ayles served at 3i, where he four years focusing on investments in the chemicals and materials sectors as a Principal. Prior to joining 3i, he spent 10 years at Degussa AG in a variety of roles including the Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, Investor Relations Manager, Corporate Controller, and Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ayles has completed a wide range of international transactions ranging from initial public offering to joint ventures, trade sales, acquisitions, and management buyouts. He is also trained as 'Industriekaufmann'. Mr. Ayles has 14 years of private equity experience. He holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago and the WHU Koblenz (Germany) as well as European undergraduate degrees from ESB Reutlingen, Granada and London.
