Philip Gene Scruggs — President and Chief Commercial Officer at Aercap Holdings N.V.

Mr. Philip Gene Scruggs, also known as Phil, has been President and Chief Commercial Officer at AerCap Holdings N.V. since May 14, 2014. Mr. Scruggs has been Chief Marketing Officer of International Lease Finance Corp. since March 31, 2010 and as its Executive Vice President since March 2011. He served as Senior Vice President of International Lease Finance Corp. He has worked for ILFC for fifteen years, as Senior Vice President in Marketing with responsibility for over 65 of ILFC's airline customers world-wide. In this role, Mr. Scruggs managed the sourcing, evaluation, documentation and on-going management of aircraft leasing transactions and has worked with airlines and investors in Europe, North America, South America, the Middle East, Australia and the Commonwealth of Independent States and is a regular speaker at industry conferences. Prior to joining ILFC, Mr. Scruggs, an instrument-rated private pilot, was employed as an attorney at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky and Walker, a Los Angeles based law firm, where he specialized in leasing and asset based finance. Mr. Scruggs received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley and a JD from The George Washington University.
