David J. DeBrunner — Chief Accounting Officer, VP & Corporate Controller at Ally Financial Inc.

Mr. David J. DeBrunner has been the Chief Accounting Officer, Corporate Controller and Vice President of Ally Financial Inc. (formerly, GMAC LLC) and Ally Credit Canada Limited since September 1, 2007. Mr. DeBrunner has responsibility for its external financial reporting; forecasting, planning and analysis; global accounting policy; treasury accounting; corporate financial systems and financial reporting controls. Mr. DeBrunner served as Controller and Senior Vice President of Fifth Third Bank. He served as Senior Vice President of Fifth Third Bancorp. from September 2004 to August 6, 2007 and Corporate Controller from January 2002 to August 6, 2007. He served as Chief Financial Officer for the commercial division of Fifth Third since December 1999. Mr. DeBrunner joined Fifth Third in 1992 and held various financial leadership positions. He held positions at Deloitte and Touche in the Chicago and Cincinnati offices. He served as Principal Accounting Officer of Fifth Third Bancorp. until August 6, 2007. He served as Vice President of Fifth Third Bancorp. since January 2002 and Fifth Third Bank since 1997. He served as a Director of Residential Capital LLC since June 2008. Mr. DeBrunner is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting from Indiana University.
