Mr. John R. Nugent serves as Chief Acquisitions Officer of Amedisys Inc. Mr. Nugent served as Chief Development Officer of Amedisys Inc. since joining it in October 2001 until January 11, 2010. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Nugent served as Vice President of Business Development with AON Corporation's Health Care Practice. He served as Senior Vice President of Development for AON Health Care Alliance working on various health system engagements throughout the country. Before AON, Mr. Nugent served as was President and Chief Executive Officer of LAMMICO Practice Management, a managed care and physician practice management company. Previous to LAMMICO, Mr. Nugent was the Founder of Associated Health Services and served as its Chief Executive Officer. He serves on the Government Affairs Committee for the National Association of Home Care and Hospice (NAHC), which helps develop legislative and regulatory policy for the home care and hospice industries.
