Alberto G. Ruocco — Chief Information Officer and Vice President at American Electric Power Company

Mr. Alberto G. Ruocco has been the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of American Electric Power Co., Inc. since May 1, 2012. Mr. Ruocco served as the Chief Information Officer of AEP Energy, Inc. (formerly BlueStar Energy Services, Inc.). Mr. Ruocco has over 26 years of information technology (IT) industry experience as a Chief Information Officer, IT strategy and Implementation Consultant. He joined American Electric Power Co., in 2011 and led the information technology team, enabling its strategy and growth. Mr. Ruocco served as a Vice President of The Revere Group, Ltd. Mr. Ruocco served as the National Practice Area Leader for Revere's Manufacturing, Distribution and Trade practice. He served as an Executive Vice President for The Revere Group. Prior to joining The Revere Group, Mr. Ruocco served as the Vice President for Process Improvement and Information Technology for Kerry Americas. He also held senior consulting positions with Deloitte Consulting, including as Senior Manager in the CIO Advisory practice. Mr. Ruocco joined Revere in 1996. He is published in such esteemed publications as the Journal of Business Strategy, Business Management Asia and other leading industry publications. He was a Member of the Kellogg Alumni Advisory Board (KAAB). He earned the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM). Mr. Ruocco received a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in Architecture with a minor in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in Strategic Planning with a minor in International Business.
