Ms. Julie A. Sloat has been the President and Chief Operating Officer of Ohio Power Company (formerly, AEP Ohio) at American Electric Power Co., Inc. since May 2, 2016. Ms. Sloat is responsible for all aspects of electric service for AEP Ohio's 1.5 million customers. She served as Treasurer and Senior Officer In Charge of The Servicing of AEP Texas Central Transition Funding II LLC. She served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer of American Electric Power Co., Inc. from January 1, 2013 to May 2, 2016. She served as Vice President of Regulatory Case Management at American Electric Power Co., Inc. until December 31, 2012. She served as Vice President of AEP Texas Central Transition Funding II LLC. She joined Regulatory Services in 2009. Ms. Sloat served as Vice President of Investor Relations at Tween Brands Inc., since July 21, 2008. She served as Vice President of Investor Relations of American Electric Power Co., Inc. from August 31, 2004 to May 2007 and also its Treasurer since January 2008. She was responsible for treasury operations and the planning and execution of AEP's corporate financing programs, including debt, bond and equity instruments and banking relationships. She also was responsible for communicating financial strategy to AEP's current and potential shareholders and enhancing AEP's profile in the investment community. From January 2003 to October 2003, she served as director-investor relations of American Electric Power and its Vice President-investor relations and strategic initiatives from June 2007 to December 2007. Ms. Sloat joined American Electric Power Co., Inc. credit risk management department in 1999 and moved to American Electric Power Co., Inc. investor relations department a year later and served as Managing Director of investor relations from November 2003 to August 2004. Before joining AEP, she was employed by Bank One from 1995 to 1999, served as a bank debt underwriter and buy-side equity analyst covering the electric utilities sector. She worked for M&T Mortgage Corp., a subsidiary of M&T Bank Corp., from 1993 to 1995. She served as first Vice President of the National Investor Relations Institute Central Ohio Chapter Board of Directors from 2003 to 2004 and as second Vice President during the prior year. She serves as a board member for Park National Corporation (NYSE: PRK) and The Park National Bank, serves as a board member for Goodwill Columbus and is chairperson of the organization's Finance Committee. She served as Manager of AEP Texas Central Transition Funding II LLC. She is a member of the Greater Columbus Sports Commission Executive Committee and is an Executive Champ for the AEP Peloton. She was the recipient of the Faculty Recognition Academic Excellence Award and the Weidler Scholar Award for placing in the top 15 percent of her class. Ms. Sloat earned a Bachelor's Degree in business administration with a double major in finance and economics from The Ohio State University (OSU). In 1999, she received a Master's Degree in business administration from OSU. She completed Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst examination series.
